CROSS POINTS STAFF
Pastor David holds a Masters of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell, a theological Seminary co-founded by Billy Graham, located in South Hamilton, Massachusetts.
He is married to his high-school sweetheart, Heather, a nurse practitioner at Children’s Mercy Hospital. Together they parent very active twin boys, Ethan and Jack. David is a life-long distance runner and has logged thousands of running miles across the country, from New York to Hawaii.
From 1995-2012, he served as the Missions Pastor for Cross Points Church. During that time he traveled extensively throughout the world visiting and ministering in over thirty countries.
David has been on staff with Cross Points for over twenty years. Throughout that time, he served as a youth assistant, interim youth pastor (twice!), missions assistant and missions pastor. David grew up in Cross Points and started attending with his family when he was four years old.

Nick Adams is the Youth Pastor of Cross Points Church. He and his wife, Desirae, came on staff in August 2008. They came from South Dakota State University, where they both served in leading Campus Crusade for Christ. Nick graduated with a degree in speech communications while playing four years of Division I baseball.
Nick and Desirae are passionate about seeing the transforming power of Jesus infiltrate the hearts and lives of the teenagers at ZOE (Rom 12:2). Their heart is to collide culture with Christ – #JesusWins.
Pastor Nick is a fanatic of the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, and the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association. He personally enjoys fishing with toothpaste lures, chopping up onions while watching SpongeBob, and hiding under piles of raked leaves.
Nick and the love of his life, Desirae, have a son named Colton, who is the newest joy in their life and a future Hall of Fame baseball player.

Upon graduation, Andy worked as the bus ministry pastor at Full Faith City Church before becoming Children’s Pastor at Cross Points Church. In 2004 Andy took a break from full-time ministry to join his wife and her family in a new business endeavor. He helped build a portrait photography organization of over 400 studios with an annual event of over 600 people.
In the Fall of 2012, Andy returned to CPC to work with Pastor David and the pastoral team as Children’s Pastor (among other duties to be assigned).
Andy spends his free time coaching and watching soccer, reading, and checking his Instagram feed. Andy has been a fan of Sporting KC since they were known as The Wiz.
Andy met and married Kia at Cross Points Church, and together they have four children – Kessa, Sephine, Chilton and Beale.

John has an extensive background in music, drama, recording, video, you name it and he is excited about the opportunities he has to raise up the next generation of artists who are passionate about bringing people into God’s presence.
John has been married to his wife, Michelle, for 13 years. They have three boys and also have been foster parents for over three years.
John and Michelle are aspiring foodies and will take the opportunity to try anything new (within reason). High on the favorites list are Vietnamese, shrimp, Thai, and steak, but most of the time he eats PB&J with the kids.

Pastor Don served as senior pastor of Cross Points Church for eleven years, and now serves as an associate pastor with an emphasis on fatherhood to the urban communities in the Kansas City metropolitan area.
Pastor Don formerly served the Washington Dulles International Airport as its senior chaplain. He orchestrated ministry in one of the busiest and most multicultural intersections in the world. Besides his chaplaincy, Pastor Lewis also served as the program director of Youth for Tomorrow, a residential facility for at-risk adolescent males.
His work has been featured in the Washington Times, People Magazine, the Family Research Council magazine and other articles and books.
Pastor Don testified before Congress on behalf of pro-family organizations in Washington D. C., and he also served as regional director for Prison Fellowship’s Mid-Atlantic Neighbors Who Care, a crime victims assistance ministry.
Pastor Don formerly served as a pastor in Oakland, CA., Little Rock, AR., the Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
He and his wife, Hildred, have four adult children and now reside in Lenexa, Kansas.

Mark Traver is the Administrative/Missions Pastor for Cross Points Church. After graduating from Southwest Baptist University with a degree in Mathematics, Mark served 16 years in missions overseas and in the US. In 2012, God called Mark back to his roots here at Cross Points. He began serving as pastor in January 2013.
Pastor Mark’s desire is to serve Cross Points missionaries, and see them set up for success in their field. He also has a great desire to see others trained, equipped, and sent to the field for short-term and long-term opportunities.

Mark likes watching the NFL and criminal investigation tv shows. He loves playing racquetball and video games with his son. His favorite place to visit is Cancun, Mexico.
Mark married his beautiful wife, Lorinda, in 1995. They have two amazing children, Caleb and Makinzie.

Director of Worship ministry
Ethan was born and raised in the KC metro area. He has been in the church his whole life. Growing up his parents were children’s pastors/directors, so when the doors where open, he was there. Working, sleeping, doing school work, playing basketball, whatever it was, it was in the church.
Ethan first came on staff when he was 18 years old and right out of high school. He worked for three and a half years as Pastor Nick’s personal assistant, helping with everything from sermon planning to setting up tents for youth trips. The next 18 months, Ethan led the young adult ministry speaking, leading worship and developing relationships.
Ethan is now the Worship Director where he spends his time developing the Cross Points worship team and band. As a songwriter, Ethan, works with various songwriters in Kansas City, Colorado Springs, and Nashville. “Songwriting is my passion, and honestly one of my favorite forms of worship. Worship is a process, not just a finished product.”

ASSISTANT TO THE LEAD PASTOR
Kyle is a life-long member of Cross Points Church. After graduating from Kansas State University with a degree in History and Political Science last May, Kyle came on staff as Pastor David’s assistant.
Kyle’s heart is for CPC to prosper in every way. He desires to see the church body unify in godly fellowship. He loves supporting the church in any way he can.
Kyle likes playing basketball, tennis, table tennis, disc golf, and racquetball. He also enjoys beat boxing and playing guitar.
He married the love of his life, Amelia Reighard, in 2014 and loves the married life. Kyle is also the head of Cross Points Church young adult ministry.
